The documentary project “Dear Iran”, subtitled “A Story of Solidarity, Courage, and Hope in Challenging Times of War,” has successfully completed production and has now been released.
The documentary aims to reflect the perspectives, deep concerns, and sense of solidarity shared by a segment of the Iranian diaspora in Austria in response to national developments and challenges during the imposed war. Its narrative structure is built around insightful conversations with 18 elite, scholarly, and diverse members of the Iranian community in Austria, including university professors, teachers, university students, school pupils, artists, peace activists, cultural and religious figures, and socially engaged citizens.
Narrative Structure and Key Themes
The Emotional Bond & The Martyrs of Minab: The introductory segment highlights the enduring emotional connection between Iranians living abroad and the ongoing developments within their homeland. It articulates the profound stance of this conscious community regarding the consequences of damage inflicted on national infrastructure and human capital—specifically paying tribute to the martyred students and teachers of the Shajareh-ye Tayyibeh School in the Minab region. Through this exploration, concepts of courage, resilience, and the vital preservation of hope are heavily emphasized.
